Stuart Hamilton is an internationally recognised water industry specialist with over 40 years’ experience in Non-Revenue Water (NRW), and utility performance improvement. He has worked with governments, utilities, funding agencies and international organisations in more than 40 countries, helping develop practical solutions that improve water security and operational performance.
A qualified Civil Engineer, Stuart is a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv), Chartered Manager (CMgr) and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management (FCIWEM). Following 14 years with Anglian Water in the UK, he established his own consultancy and has since become one of the world’s leading practitioners in NRW management.
Stuart is the Immediate Past Chair of the International Water Association (IWA) Water Loss Specialist Group, where he led the global network for eight years. He has authored numerous technical papers and co-authored five internationally recognised books published by the IWA and the American Water Works Association (AWWA).
His current work focuses on helping utilities improve performance while integrating water efficiency, energy management and carbon reduction, supporting more resilient and sustainable water services worldwide.
