Lakeisha Johnson is a proud native of the Bahamas – the land of crystal clear waters, white sandy beaches, and seven hundred islands and cays.
Professionally, Lakeisha has been involved in the water sector for the last twenty-six (26) years at the Bahamas Water and Sewerage Corporation, and is currently an Internal Auditor, heading the Service/Technical Compliance Department in the Internal Control, Compliance, Risk and Legal Affairs Division. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Finance from the College of the Bahamas.
Personally, she enjoys spending her free time with good friends, and is a self-proclaimed brunchnista, and bon vivant. Traveling is her passion, she also enjoys public speaking, and has earned the Distinguished Toastmaster designation.
Lakeisha has been involved with the CWWA since 2003 and since that time has served on the Bahamas’ Conference Planning Committee four (4) times, attended multiple conferences throughout the region, presented a technical paper, and served on various committees. She has also served as the 2022 CWWA Bahamas Conference Co-Chair.
As the Director with responsibility for National Sections, Lakeisha is most excited to contribute to the growth and development of the Association throughout the region.
